Teaching Statement
I strive to provide an education in dance that is inclusive, approachable, and cross-disciplinary. Working with students, I value an individualized approach to learning which I practice through differentiated teaching. Allowing others to feel seen and respected is highly important to me. Although my background is rooted in ballet and modern dance techniques, contemporary floorwork is my first passion. Over the past seven years, I have advanced this practice through various techniques including acrobatics, contact improvisation, partnering, and aerial dance. Working together as a team for the common goal and having a classroom culture that is open and communicative is one of my core values as a teacher. In doing so, I hope to create an impact and influence an upcoming generation of collaborators.
